Getting started
- This RMX version works with Glyphs 1.2 or later.
- Download and unzip the archive.
- Double-click the file RMX.glyphsFilter, which will open and install the plug-ins in Glyphs.
- Restart Glyphs.
- You will find the RMX tools in the Filter menu.
RMX Harmonizer
- The RMX Harmonizer for Glyphs works the same way as in FontLab. See the video for a short explanation.
- The tool remembers your previous choice. For quick keyboard-only use, try using Cmd+Shift+H, then space.
RMX Tuner
- This tool only works with fonts that have at least two masters of different weight.
- Width, height and weight are now changed in absolute units, not in percent as used by current FontLab version.
- The numbers can be changed conveniently by using the up/down cursor keys. You can enter decimal numbers manually.
- The RMX Tuner is intended to be used on individual glyphs although it will work with multiple glyphs selected. For changing several glyphs at once, it is recommended to use the RMX Scaler.
RMX Scaler
- This tool only works with fonts that have at least two masters of different weight.
- Use the RMX Scaler to create true small caps, superior or inferior characters, or to create true condensed fonts.
- In most cases, it is recommended to scale the sidebearings.
- Adding a suffix will cause new glyphs to be created whereas leaving the field empty will scale the glyphs in place.
